Research theme and outline
Toward the safe and stable water supply system
The disaster preparedness is urgently required due to frequent occurrences of earthquake and the ongoing climatic changes causing flood and drought, which can damage the water supply system. Aiming to create and manage a safe and stable water supply system, I perform research (1) to understand behaviors of health-related microbes from source water to faucets and manage their risk and (2) to establish models for predicting water pollution level and planning for immediate restoration of water supply system.
