Research theme and outline

Exploring further safety and security of water for drinking and healthcare purposes

Water supply services in Japan has been “top-level” regarding their safe water quality and stable water quantity. For advancing further safety and security of water supply for drinking and healthcare purposes, I have currently committed research projects targeting water purification plants and healthcare facilities in Japan, regarding (1) evaluation/control of microbial risks incl. Legionella and non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), and (2) control of microbes with high endotoxin producing potential using membrane filtration.
