Research theme and outline

I have worked on maternal breastfeeding, HIV infection and mental health of older people, in consciousness of ‘social / psychological / biological model = social epidemiology model’ changing from ‘biological/medical model’ which we had paid attention to in preventive medicine.
Populations in the Afro-Asia are aging rapidly. The concept of ‘Healthy Aging’ is relevant to everybody and each nation must prepare to meet with this need. Making use of Japanese experience and knowledge for aging, my study objective is to identify status of health, social determinants of health, and well-being for older people in the world.
