Research theme and outline
Quality/Safety×Management×Policy
Healthcare quality and patient safety requires patients/family engagement, management and capacity development to facilitate patient safety culture, as well as policy to support those activities. My research interests/topics are the followings: patient safety culture, team training (TeamSTEPPS), High Reliability Organizations, reporting and learning systems of patient safety incidents. In collaborating with international organizations such as WHO, OECD, and JICA, I have been working on global activities to improve healthcare quality and patient safety.
