【感染症エクスプレス＠厚労省】Vol.471（2022年9月2日）
2022年8月21日、コンゴ民主共和国(DRC)の保健省は、エボラ出血熱(EVD) の新たな確定症例が北キヴ州のベニ市で発生したと発表しました。
患者は、併存疾患のある 46 歳の女性で、同年7月23日より他疾患として治療を受けていましたが、その後EVDと一致する症状を示し、入院23日目の 8 月 15 日に死亡しました。
死亡後に口腔咽頭分泌物標本が採取され、同国の国立医科学研究所(INRB)において確定診断されました。
病院と地域社会の接触者を特定するために現地調査が進行中で、既に約160人が特定されています。
DRCでは、2022年7月4日に、赤道州で発生した流行の終息が宣言されましたが、今回で15回目のEVDのアウトブレイクの報告となります。
INRBで実施されたゲノム解析によると、2018-2020年に同国の北キヴ州、イツリ州、南キヴ州において発生した流行と遺伝学的なリンクがあることが確認されています。
