Research theme and outline

My major specialty is service delivery systems for rehabilitation in Japan and other Asian countries. I’m engaged in research using medical and long-term care claims databases in Japan to clarify the provision of rehabilitation and using another database to clarify effective services to prevent functional declines for older adults. Internationally, I’m conducting research on situation analyses of information systems and workforce development related to the WHO initiative, Rehabilitation 2030. Through them, we aim to contribute to building well-coordinated systems responding to unmet needs for rehabilitation.
