Research on Medical Radiation Safety Management
Radiological procedures constitute an indispensable modality in contemporary medical practice. In particular, Interventional Radiology (IVR), which employs fluoroscopic imaging, has become widely established as a minimally invasive alternative to conventional surgery, thereby necessitating stringent radiation protection measures. To ensure the safe implementation of radiological practices in compliance with legal and regulatory standards, ongoing research focuses on the accurate measurement or estimation of radiation exposure in both patients and healthcare workers. These data are then used to conduct risk assessments and to develop evidence-based strategies for optimal radiation protection.
