International Collaborative Training

In light of the growing global demand both in terms of number and quality for public health professionals, the Institute accepts researchers and trainees in the public health area from overseas based on requests from international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and various foreign governments. The Institute has been providing educational programs mainly for the purpose of providing necessary knowledge and skills, etc. to leaders and instructors in public health, etc. in developing countries.
  In terms of collaboration with international organizations, the Institute has been designated as a “Medical Facility Planning and Medical Service Provider” (Department of International Health and Collaboration), “Sanitation and Water Supplier to the Region” (Department of Environmental Health), “Analysis and Research of Cigarette Smoke” (Department of Environmental Health), and a “WHO Reference Library” (Center for Public Health Informatics), and conducts relevant training, etc.
