Radiological public health

Radiation is useful for human being, but also endanger lives. The use of radiation including medical radiation must be carefully managed. Adding this, the nuclear disaster causes difficult issues in our society. For these situations, risk communication enables community engagement in the disaster recovery process. The department collaborates extensively to investigate these research topics with other institutes across Japan and abroad.
