Research theme and outline
Research on built environment: heat, air, and moisture transfer in buildings and its simulation techniques
Thermal performance and IAQ design, operation and maintenance of buildings and air-conditioning/ventilation equipment are important to ensure an appropriate built environment and prevent health hazards to occupants. To create better indoor air quality, simulation technique related to heat, air, moisture, and contaminant transport in built environment such as office buildings, medical facilities, nursing homes children’s facilities and houses are applied, as well as understanding mechanism through experiments and field measurements.
